Etipack System 4 Top & Bottom Labelling Machine
The Etipack System 4 is an automatic top-and-bottom labelling system: it can apply a label to the underside of a product, to the top, or to both faces in a single pass. The defining feature is its conveyor — two independent belts with a gap between them, so a labelling head can reach the base of the product as it bridges the gap.
This makes System 4 ideal for flat, thin products: thermoformed trays, vacuum-packed foods such as sliced cheese and ham, jars, bottles and thin boxes in plastic, glass or metal, across the food, chemical and cosmetic sectors. It handles products up to 275×350mm and up to 90mm tall, with labels up to 98mm wide and 250mm long, at up to 150 products per minute on small items (around 30 per minute on large ones).
Where the Etipack System 2 labels the top face only the System 4 is built for products that also need a base label — its split-belt conveyor is what sets it apart.
In its base configuration System 4 applies the underside label via the split-belt conveyor; a top labelling head is added to label the top face as well. The modular design also lets you add controls and alarms to suit your line. A wide range of print units integrates directly — hot-foil, thermal-transfer and inkjet — from Etipack and leading coders including EIDOS, Markem and ICE/Videojet, for inline codes, dates, barcodes and variable data.
