Industrial Print & Apply Labelling Systems

....also known as label print applicators (LPA) or inline print and apply labellers — automatically print variable data onto a label and apply it to the product or packaging in a single operation. Variable data typically includes barcodes, GS1-128 codes, batch numbers, expiry dates and dispatch or retailer compliance information. Because the label is printed on demand, these systems are ideal wherever information changes frequently between runs, or where pre-printed labels simply aren't practical. ALS supplies and supports print and apply systems from Logopak and Novexx — two of the most trusted names in the category and our sister companies in the Possehl Identifications Solutions group — alongside our own ALS-built solutions, all backed by our 2-year on-site warranty.

Common Applications

Print and apply systems are used across a wide range of industries and packaging formats. Typical applications include:

  • Outer case labelling — applying barcodes and product information to shipping cases on high-speed packing lines
  • Pallet compliance labelling — printing and applying GS1-128 or retailer-specific pallet labels to meet logistics and despatch requirements
  • Carton labelling — accurate label placement on folded cartons or retail-ready packaging
  • Corner-wrap labelling — wrapping a single label around the corner of a case to apply information to two faces simultaneously
  • Two-sided labelling — applying labels to front and back, or top and side, in a single pass
  • Tote and container labelling — labelling reusable transit packaging in warehouse and 3PL environments
