EIDOS XTO — Thermal Transfer Over-printers / Coders
A range of over-printers that code variable data — expiry dates, batch / lot numbers, barcodes, 2D codes and logos — directly onto flexible film, labels and cartons.
A modular, motor-driven design that needs no compressed air, keeping integration straightforward and running costs low, while tool-free ribbon and printhead changes hold downtime to a minimum. Built to a standard footprint, the XTO drops neatly into most existing packaging machines and production lines and fits onto most label applicators, where on-demand label coding is required.
Supplied, installed and supported in the UK by Advanced Labelling Systems, the official UK partner of EIDOS — with full training and ongoing service, backed by the Possehl Group.
Print Modes
Every XTO 2" can run in either intermittent or continuous mode, set in software at installation with no change of hardware:
Intermittent Mode - prints onto stationary film or labels — ideal for tray-sealers, thermoformers and intermittent baggers.
Continuous Mode - prints onto film or labels on the move — suited to vertical and horizontal flow-wrappers and VFFS/HFFS lines.
In intermittent mode the standard print area is 53 x 100mm — around 30% larger than the typical TTO on the market — at 300dpi resolution.
XTO 2 — the core 53mm (2″) over-printer, available in intermittent or continuous mode, with longer-stroke intermittent versions at 200mm, 400mm and 600mm for larger print areas or multi-track coding.
XTO 22i — a twin 53mm printhead version for intermittent strokes up to 900mm, ideal for multi-lane packs and deep print areas in food, pharmaceutical, dairy and personal care lines.
XTO XL — an interchangeable-printhead model using the Magnetic Quick head X-Change, switching between 4″, 5″ and 6″ heads (107mm, 128mm and 160mm print widths) with intermittent strokes up to 600mm.
Best Price-v-Performance — one of the strongest value propositions of any TTO system on the market.
Maximum Uptime — fast, ergonomic ribbon changes and a tool-free printhead swap in seconds.
Lower Waste — intelligent ribbon-save feeds only the ribbon each print needs, cutting consumable cost and the frequency of changes.
Easy Integration — a modular concept and standard footprint let the XTO drop into existing machinery without redesign.
Energy Efficient — a motor-driven printhead removes the need for compressed air, lowering running costs and simplifying maintenance.
Smart Printhead — a secure chip in each printhead logs running distance, hours and dotline status to support planned maintenance
We will help you find the right XTO configuration for your line — and supply the matching Novexx/EIDOS ribbons from UK stock.
* Speeds shown are within the safe operating area; the higher figure requires a feasibility check. Longer-stroke models are denoted i.nn, where nn is the print length (e.g. .40 = 400mm).
