Whether you need labels for shipping, outer case barcodes, GS1 pallet labels, identification purposes or even basic product ingredients, our plain white paper labels are ideal. Bright white, die-cut and supplied on rolls, we use dust-reduced paper which prolongs the life of thermal print heads. Perfect for barcode printing and excellent for scanning, as good contrast is achieved. RFID-embedded labels (also called RFID tags or smart labels) are labels that contain a tiny Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chip and antenna, allowing them to store and transmit data wirelessly using radio waves.
An RFID-embedded label typically has three parts:
How It Works
When an RFID reader sends out a radio signal, the antenna in the label receives it. The chip in the label then transmits its stored data back to the reader. This process happens wirelessly and often without direct line-of-sight, unlike barcodes. Unlike the RFID tags used in modern vehicle car keys, embedded-RFID labels do not require a battery or any source of power, so are known as Passive RFID labels – powered by the reader’s radio signal. This keeps their profile very slim and ideal for use on most products. Advanced Labelling Systems Ltd are specialists in embedding ready-made RFID (and RF EAS) inlays from the likes of Avery Dennison and Checkpoint etc, to custom-printed product labels, or for embedding into standard plain pallet and outer case labels.
Common Uses
A wide range of security materials are available that are tamper-evident. Some will break-up if removal is attempted or leave behind a message in the adhesive, such as “VOID”, or similar. Other materials have particles that glow in UV light to prove authenticity, change colour with temperature, trigger an alert or track usage through the supply chain. Ask for more information!
