The Etipack System 2 is an automatic top-labelling system that applies a label to the upper face of a product as it travels along an integrated conveyor. It's designed for stable items — thermoformed trays, jars, bottles, boxes and rigid containers in plastic, glass or metal — and runs as a standalone line or inline with filling, cartoning or thermoforming equipment.
System 2 labels from above at up to 6,000 products per hour (at a 150mm product step) and dispensing speeds up to 15m/min, handling products up to 200mm tall and labels up to 98mm wide and 250mm long. Typical uses include batch- and date-coding the lids of food trays, the tops of jars and cartons, and the upper face of cosmetic and chemical packs.
Like every Etipack system, System 2 is modular: alarms, controls and additional applicators can be added to build a machine around your exact requirements. A wide range of print units integrates directly — hot-foil, thermal-transfer and inkjet — from Etipack and leading coders including ICE/Clearmark, Videojet, Markem, EIDOS and Wolke, for inline codes, dates, barcodes and variable data. System 2 labels the top face only and suits taller, stable products. If you need to label the underside, or both faces in one pass, then the Etipack System 4 Top & Bottom Labelling machine uses a split-belt conveyor to do exactly that.
